  18. (_/hat's  right  folks,  time once again to get your XapShots
  19. and  digitizers    out    and  create a photo of yourself to be
  20. distributed throughout the known universe!
  21.  
  22. The  idea  behind  the Amiga <Echo> Disk is this:  we have here
  23. a  community    of   words  and phrases formed by personalities
  24. that we have  no way of attaching to an actual face.  The Amiga
  25. Echo  Disk  is    a  collection of such 'photos' in IFF format,
  26. viewable on any Amiga  throughout  the  land.   This gives you
  27. a good idea of who you're "talking" to.
  28.  
  29. The    first  set  of  EchoDisks  contained  a  pic  of Asha in
  30. her  infamous   bustier, Yours Truly redeaux in one fairly tame
  31. and  one  fairly    bizarre  interpretation,  Orin  amidst  his
  32. creations,  people posing  with thier computers, people walking
  33. past  the  camera,  and other  more  creative pics.  Along with
  34. each  pic were text-format bios  of  the person (self-authored)
  35. and  some  even  had  extra  pics  or    sound   samples  (Jeff
  36. Johansen's    Workbench,  for  instance  -- out-a-sight!).  The
  37. disks  were  distributed  as  a set and driven by a CanDo deck,
  38. usable on any Amiga.
  39.  
  40. Now,    almost    a    year    after release, we are once again
  41. gathering  together  pics,  sounds,  and  sights related to the
  42. people that form this, the AMIGA echo!
  43.  
  44. WHAT TO DO
  45.  
  46. Easy!     Send  your pics to myself or to Orin Palmer (criteria
  47. to follow along with addresses)
  48.  
  49. HOW TO DO IT
  50.  
  51. Preferably,    pics  should be in IFF format, HAM included.  If
  52. you  don't  have  a  digitizer  handy,  a  snapshot  will do --
  53. we  can  digitize    and   return   these   pics.      IFF-24's
  54. and   other high-res/high-color  pic  formats  are  acceptable,
  55. but  will be reduced down to HAM.
  56.  
  57. WHAT TO PUT IN IT
  58.  
  59. Hey,   it can be a simple pic of yourself at the family picnic,
  60. or  you    can    get  way  out gonzo creative!  I've seen some
  61. excellent  pics  that  were  done with the original subject and
  62. then  enhanced  in  some    way.   Put yourself in an Imaginary
  63. scene,  in  the  middle  of  your   workbench,  or your face on
  64. Arnold Schwarzenegger's body -- just have fun!
  65.  
  66. Additionally,    sound    samples of your voice, favorite sound
  67. byte, or whatever can be integrated into the disk.

  69. Along   with  all  this,  please  include  a  self-written  bio
  70. or  introduction    to    yourself.    It  doesn't  have  to be
  71. long,  nor  flashy,  nor  witty,  just write what you feel like
  72. writing.

  76. If  you're  reading  this,  you're in!  Just because you're not
  77. a regular doesn't mean you don't count!

  79. Also,    just  because  you  were  on the first disk collection
  80. doesn't  mean  you aren't welcome the second time around!  Time
  81. has passed! People change!
